Easy and Tasty Microwave Cooking Recipes

cooking and bakingAfter spending 8 or 10 hours a day at my full-time job, the last thing I want to do is go home and slave over a hot stove for another hour in order to get dinner on the table for my family. But since we can't afford to hire a cook or eat at restaurants every day, I don't have a whole lot of choice in the matter! One thing I can do, however, is try to shorten my time in the kitchen by following microwave cooking recipes to whip up our evening meal.

If you're anything like me, then you probably use that convenient contraption more for heating up frozen dinners or defrosting meat than for actual meal preparation. In fact, I didn't even know it was possible to cook entire meals this way! But ever since a friend gave me a couple of microwave cooking recipes to try a little while ago, I've completely changed my tune. This is definitely a much easier -- and faster -- way of getting a delicious dinner ready in a flash!

At first, I was a bit hesitant about using this method to make meals for my family, but after reading more about it and actually tasting the food that resulted from my efforts, I'm completely sold. For one thing, I love the sheer variety of microwave cooking recipes that are available. I thought I'd be limited to casseroles and other simple dishes, but that's not the case at all. We've sampled several different beef and chicken meals already, and I've seen a number of other healthy microwave cooking recipes that incorporate fish, pork, turkey, vegetables, and just about anything else you can imagine. Trust me, there are enough meal ideas out there to keep even the most demanding family satisfied!

Another thing I love about the microwave cooking recipes I've tried so far is the way the food tastes. I admit that I wasn't expecting gourmet quality out of this preparation method, and wouldn't have been surprised if the meals just looked and tasted like a soggy, jumbled mess of food. So when I finally sampled tender, juicy beef cutlets or crispy chicken strips, I knew the microwave cooking recipes I had on hand would be a big hit with my kids.

I've been able to find a lot of free microwave cooking recipes online, and will be working my way through those in the next few weeks. Once I get a better feel for what works well for my family and what doesn't, I might go ahead and buy a couple of hardcover cookbooks to use.

If you're tired of time-consuming dinners prepared on the stove or in the oven, I think you should check out some microwave cooking recipes today. You'll appreciate the convenience, while your family will appreciate the yummy results!
